RENTAL PERIOD AND CONDITIONS
The minimum rental period is 72 hours. In the event of late return, one-third of the daily rental fee will be charged for each additional hour. For delays exceeding a total of 3 hours, a full-day rental fee will be charged.
If the vehicle is returned late without prior notice, insurance coverage will no longer be valid and both insurance and comprehensive coverage will become void.
Our vehicles are operated according to a fair mileage usage policy. Daily mileage limits are determined according to the vehicle model.
Even if the rental fee for the reserved vehicle has been paid, the lessor (Ayhan Rent A Car) reserves the right to decide whether or not to rent the vehicle and may refuse the rental without providing any reason.
The person making the reservation is deemed to have read, understood and accepted the vehicle rental terms and conditions.
LONG-TERM RENTALS
The minimum rental period for long-term rentals is 30 days. Special pricing applies.

ONE-WAY RENTAL
If the vehicle is returned in a city different from the city where it was collected, a One-Way Fee will apply regardless of the rental duration.

VEHICLE PICK-UP – VEHICLE RETURN
Our Izmir Airport Rent A Car office operates 24 hours a day. Vehicle delivery to the customer and collection of the vehicle from the customer at this location are provided free of charge at any time of the day.
AIRPORT SERVICE FEE
No Airport Service Fee is charged for rentals made through our Izmir Airport Rent A Car offices, which operate 24 hours a day.
DRIVING LICENCE – DRIVER AGE
Vehicles may be rented by persons who are at least 24 years old and have held a valid driving licence for at least 5 years.
For luxury vehicles, the minimum age requirement is 30 years.
Two drivers may be included in one rental agreement without any additional charge, provided that they are family members such as mother, father, sibling or spouse.
ADDITIONAL DRIVER
The vehicle may only be driven by someone other than the renter if that person meets the driving licence and age requirements and their valid identity document and driving licence are registered in the rental agreement.
If no additional driver is registered and it is determined that an accident occurred while the vehicle was being driven by an unregistered driver, all insurance coverage will become invalid.
ITEMS INCLUDED AND NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICES
Our vehicles are used according to a fair mileage policy.
A mileage limit may apply depending on the selected vehicle. Each additional kilometre is charged at €0.40. Please ask during the reservation process whether unlimited mileage is available for the selected vehicle.
Vehicle maintenance expenses and compulsory traffic insurance are included.
Our prices do not include 20% VAT.
Fuel, bridge and motorway tolls, traffic fines, comprehensive insurance and additional insurance products, one-way fees, vehicle delivery and collection fees, baby seats and other extra requests will be charged separately.
For minibuses or vehicles with multiple passenger seats, additional seat-related insurance and comprehensive coverage may be included in the quotation. If accepted, the revised amount will be stated in the reservation confirmation.
IMPORTANT CONDITIONS
In certain circumstances, insurance coverage will become invalid and any resulting damage will not be covered by insurance.
These circumstances include:
Allowing the vehicle to be driven by anyone other than the persons named in the rental agreement.
Using the vehicle outside normal operating conditions, including driving with excessive engine temperature, driving under poor road conditions, driving with a flat tyre, filling the vehicle with the wrong fuel or similar misuse.
Using the vehicle in violation of traffic regulations, including exceeding legal speed limits, running red lights or similar violations.
Driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Damage or an accident caused by cargo carried in the vehicle.
Careless or negligent use of the vehicle, including failure to adjust speed according to road conditions in rainy weather, failure to maintain a safe following distance or similar situations.
Failure to immediately inform the lessor of an accident or theft, or leaving the vehicle at the accident scene, except where a medical report confirms a condition preventing the driver from remaining there.
Failure to obtain the required official reports, including traffic and alcohol reports, from the relevant authorities within 48 hours following an accident, or failure to return the original vehicle key.
Failure to return the vehicle after the rental period has expired without obtaining approval.
Damage caused to the rental vehicle or third parties due to cargo carried inside the vehicle.
Damage to tyres, windows and headlights, which is excluded from insurance coverage.
Financial liability arising from damage caused to third parties is covered within the limits of compulsory third-party liability insurance. The renter is responsible for any amount exceeding the insurance coverage limits.
Insurance coverage is limited to the amounts stated in the insurance policy applicable to the vehicle during the rental period. Any legal liability exceeding these limits, including material, moral or bodily damages, belongs to the renter. If Ayhan Rent A Car is required to make a payment exceeding the policy limits, Ayhan Rent A Car reserves the right of recourse against the customer.
SITUATIONS EXCLUDED FROM INSURANCE COVERAGE
If the driver causes an accident and is found at fault according to the official traffic accident report, the renter acknowledges and agrees that loss of business income for the period required to repair the vehicle and return it to service is not covered by insurance.
The renter agrees to pay this amount in advance based on the applicable daily rental rate at that time.
Medical treatment expenses for passengers in the vehicle are covered within the policy limits, including:
TRY 5,000 medical treatment coverage per person
TRY 100,000 coverage for death and permanent disability
In the event of vehicle theft, the user is responsible for loss of business income arising during the period between the theft and the insurance company’s payment.
Material damage caused to third parties by the vehicle is covered within the limits determined by compulsory traffic insurance.
TRAFFIC FINES
Traffic regulations in Türkiye generally permit maximum speeds of:
120 km/h on motorways
90 km/h on intercity roads
50 km/h in urban areas
Please observe all NO PARKING signs when parking.
Traffic fines and legal liabilities resulting from violations of traffic regulations or the renter’s fault are the responsibility of the renter.
Traffic fines received by Ayhan Rent A Car after the vehicle has been returned will be charged to the renter. The relevant amount will be collected either in cash or by credit card through mail order.
Any period during which the vehicle is held or impounded by official or local authorities for any reason will be considered part of the rental period.
PAYMENT – DEPOSIT
All valid credit cards are accepted for payment of rental fees.
The amount of the credit card authorization may vary depending on the vehicle model.
If a vehicle is returned with less fuel than provided at the time of rental or with an empty tank, the fuel difference will be charged together with an additional service fee.
Customers are required to have a credit card issued in their own name at the time of rental.
For preliminary reservations made through our website, no specific brand or model guarantee is provided.
At the time of confirmation, a temporary credit card authorization of between €500 and €700, depending on the vehicle group, will be applied to the customer’s credit card.
For cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled vehicle pick-up time, the full amount will be refunded without deduction within 8 days.
For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, the amount will be refunded after deducting one day’s rental fee.
Any amount collected or blocked as a deposit will be refunded to the same card at the end of the rental period after deducting any additional charges not included in the reservation, such as extra services, protection packages, fuel, damage, traffic fines or similar expenses.
The credit card authorization will then be released. The release period varies depending on the bank and generally takes between 5 and 7 days.
AYHAN RENT A CAR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE ITS PRICES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AS WELL AS THE VEHICLE TYPES LISTED IN ITS TARIFFS, WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.
